We went to see Lucinda for the first time this Tuesday (25th). She went through all of Imaan's past lab tests that we had done two years ago, namely, the ONE profile test, Live blood analysis and the Urine Porphyrin test.
We found it quite interesting to learn that the SCD diet might not be suitable for Imaan. Furthermore, she added that his ONE profile test result is not like most other autistic child that she has seen before. Also, we have to work on some of his amino acids. As for the Porphryin test, yes, Imaan has high levels of mercury with an elevated levels of lead.
Imaan did a poo while with Lucinda so she had the opportunity to examine his stools. According to her, his stool smells really off big time :).
She suggested more laboratory testing to be done on Imaan including:
Metametrix GI Effects: Stool test to check for parasites, yeast overgrowth, bacterial overgrowth, malabsorption issues, need for pancreatic support, stool pH, blood, mucous and inflammation.
Hair Elements: to establish whether his body has all the minerals needed at the right levels and balance. It also tests for heavy metal toxicity.
Basal Temperature Test: home test for Thyroid.
Bicarbonate of Soda Test: a simple home test to see if Imaan has low hydrochloric acid (HCl) in his tummy.
Here are the munchkins enjoying themselves in the car. We were on the way to see Lucinda:
