Holding pen appropriately and drawing. Yippeee! :)

Imaan was supposed to go back to school earlier this month, but as you are probably aware, he didn't. We decided to home-school him instead, with the help of volunteers. We have several examples of Imaan's artwork from school. They were mostly in the form of scribbles and very early stages of mark makings.

But take a look at Imaan now. We are so proud of him. He has grown so much in less than one month of home-schooling via the Son rise programme. He has made amazing progress in fine motor skills (holding pen, drawing straight lines and shapes (circles, triangles, rectangles), as well as good hand-eye coordination), attention span and cognitive abilities.

"Rain rain go away" By: Imaan 22 Sept 2011 (independent drawing)

Dark clouds in the sky, rain everywhere but the Sun is smiling wearing a hat - waiting to come out.
